Files and images in the chat

You can upload documents, spreadsheets, code and images to the chat — the model reads them and answers about their content. Uploading requires signing in.

Limits

• Up to 10 files per message.
• Up to 10 MB per file; audio up to 25 MB.
• Images: JPEG, PNG and WebP.

The model doesn’t read large documents in full: it finds the parts that match your question. If an answer is incomplete, say which part of the document you mean.

Files you need in every chat are easier to keep in a project. On models that use Charge, large files use it noticeably faster.
